The Kamilaroi region hosts much beauty with it’s mountain ranges, waterways , bushland and animals. The colours of earth and air contrasts with the landscape, and together they have informed Aboriginal culture for tens of thousands of years.

Here, the knowledge of the Kamilaroi people connects deeply with the land.  Our understanding of the land has developed through thousands of generations of listening to the wisdom of our ancestors, observing the seasons and the patterns and interactions of the plants and animals within the landscape, sharing stories with neighbouring nations and applying our knowledge to survive and thrive.
